Bernard Senekal:
Managing
Director
Sentronics Johannesburg

Accountability:
Develop and deliver on the company’s strategic plan in the most effective and efficient manner; accountable for the overall performance of the company and for ensuring resources are managed to execute the day-to-day running and management of the company’s business.

Education:
Bernard is a born and bred entrepreneur and certified MS Professional, MS System Developer, MS Certified System Engineer and a qualified MS Certified Database Administrator. Bernard also attended what is today the Cape Peninsula University of Technology studying business management.

Career:
Bernard began his career in the family business in 1995 specializing in technologies that bridge between PC/MAC and video devices up to 1998. He then joined computer sciences corporation (CSC) and worked on contract for Old Mutual SA up to 2001. His role included supporting management information systems hardware and software environments. He later joined a fund supermarket for Old Mutual in the United Kingdom in 2002 where he designed and led a team implementing decision support systems, interfacing between line of business and programmers in the capacity of business and data analyst.

He started Sentronics in Cape Town in April 2004 as an active trading company within the Peninsula Enterprises group of Companies. With only 2 staff members, he developed Sentronics into a dynamic team which led to the opening of Sentronics Johannesburg in 2008.
Today, Sentronics has a staff compliment of 25 experienced, skilled and motivated employees, contributing positively towards the company’s strategic plan.

Bernard aims to achieve his objectives by growing and developing with his staff to strengthen the core of Sentronics.

Personal:
Bernard is a father of 3 children - 6 year old daughter, an 8 year old son, and a new addition to the family of only a few weeks old!

He spends his time with his wife, friends and family. He continues to enjoy the traditional Capetonian lifestyle in Johannesburg which includes wine, dining out and the challenge to remain active in achieving a balanced lifestyle.



Charl Wolfaardt:
Financial Director
Sentronics Cape Town

Accountabilities:
National responsibility for financial, operational and HR functions. 

Education:
Charl obtained his Cost – and - Management accounting Diploma at the Cape Tech in 1996 followed by a B-Tech in 2002 at Technikon SA. 

Career:

Charl began his career as a shipping clerk at John Thompson Africa with his focus on logistics and compliance and moved quickly through the ranks to contracts accountant and then completing his 5 year career as the accountant before joining the family business in September 2001.

He was promoted to Financial Director in 2004 for the group of companies with a focus on providing and interpreting financial information, analyzing competitors and market trends as well as monitoring and interpreting cash flow and predict future trends. Charl also spends his time keeping abreast of changes in the financial regulations and legislations and supports clients and colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions.

External role:
Charl is married with two children and has a profound interest in golf and chess, and is extremely passionate about his family and his work.


Hendrik Theron:
Channel Manager
Sentronics Cape Town
Accountabilities:
Developing relationships and business opportunities into Africa and with the Sentronics Distributors. 

Education:

Completed an IT course, specializing in web designing at Northlink College in 2004.

Career:

Hendrik began his career at Sentronics in 2005.  He started out as a Technical Advisor and worked his way up to National Operations and Logistics.  Today he is the Distribution Channel Manager.

External role:
Hendrik is married to a travel consultant and spends most of his free time balanced between family and friends.  He loves watching sports and traveling and is very passionate about his work.


Gemma Forsyth:
Regional Manager
Sentronics Johannesburg

Accountabilities:
Planning the Company's sales campaigns, developing the skills of the sales team, smoothly implementing technological changes, consulting and collaborating with company executives, business development at End User level, and proactively reviewing the outcomes of the company's sales efforts.

Education:

Matric, IMM Marketing Certificate.

Career:
Gemma began her career in the electronic security industry in 2001 with AV Electronics, first as Sales Coordinator and then a Key Accounts Executive. Three years later, she joined Norbain SA in Distribution, and 3 years later moved to Sitronix to gain experience as a System Integrator, and spent just over 2 years gathering knowledge and expertise in this arena.
Gemma joined Sentronics as Account Manager in early 2010 and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in November 2010.

She earned the Sentronics “Best individual Performance” award in December of 2010, and the “Pelco Distinguished Sales Award for highest Revenue Growth in SA” for 2010. She currently works with a dynamic team of account managers to achieve the company’s sales objectives, and manage the rapid growth of the company.

External role:
Gemma is married to an esteemed architect and together they enjoy spending time with family and friends in their private time, and traveling when time allows for it.
